I am writing this review in hopes that others will learn from my experience with Sono Bello. My daughter has MS and was recently diagnosed with Hashimoto disease as well.
The Hashimoto disease caused rapid weight gain which is what led to the testing and diagnosis of Hashimoto Disease. In an effort to try and help my daughter with the weight gain, my wife took my daughter to Sono Bello where she scheduled an appointment for my daughter. My daughter went back a few days later and added more work at an additional expense. A couple of days before the scheduled appointment we read the reviews for this company and my daughter decided to cancel the appointment.
Although she cancelled within 24 hours of the scheduled appointment, we were charged the full combined amount that my wife and daughter paid of more than $13,000. In Sono Bello’s defense, my wife and daughter signed a contract that said if they were to cancel within 5 days of the appointment they would lose the full amount of the scheduled procedure. Although they signed a contract I don’t think they realized it would actually cost this much money to cancel an appointment. A 10 to 25% cancellation fee to offset the expense of scheduling doctors and nurses would be understandable but $13,000 to cancel an appointment is unbelievable.
We filed a dispute with our credit card company complaining of the unreasonable cancellation fee and the answer my credit card company got from Sono Bello is “They knew what they were signing”. So learn from my experience and read the reviews and understand what you are getting into before scheduling an appointment.
I’m a firm believer in “what goes around comes around”. I hope in the end they lose more from this kind of business behavior than they gained from us.

After being offered a corrective surgery, which I was told by a new doctor will hardly make a difference, I denied the surgery. I am worried they will ruin my abdomen even more and I do not trust them.
They offered me $1,200...for ruining my body? I still have no feeling in one side and it’s hard, and the other side is mushy. They are robbers. They do not care about your results or your body.
Just your money. They wanna say my abdomen being numb could be from another underlying cause..not the surgery?!?
Oh please. Biggest mistake of my life was trusting Sonobello!
I am checking with my doctor to see if the numbness (that hasn’t gone away in almost 2 years after surgery) is nerve damage and how severe it is. I imagine this is from the painful poking and prodding the surgeon did in all the places that weren’t even numb.
I still do not have feeling in my lower abdomen. One side of my stomach is still hard and the other side still soft and lumpy.
I looked great before sonobello. I regret this surgery I am ruined.
It is now, October 19, 2018. Still no medical records, no phone call, no anything!
I will be calling them today. I went to my PCM to discuss the numbness of my lower abdomen, she even told me how unprofessional Sono Bello is for refusing me care or even to speak with a doctor, when they are the reason for the problem.
She told me to contact an attorney because she believes it’s nerve damage and told me that would also be considered negligence. I suppose since this “business” won’t even acknowledge the issue, I am doing just that!
Update: still no medical records, no call back, no explanation. I will be seeking an attorney for physical and emotional damages and the numbness to my stomach.
I had laser lipo surgery almost 1 year ago. I went in weighing 139.
Surgery was painful!
I remember being numbed and it felt like I was being stabbed..I begged the doctor to stop while I was squeezing a lady’s hand..she told me I was doing great. I kept getting poked in places that weren’t numb, causing me to jump and cry and having me on edge the entire procedure waiting for it to happen again. I was not relaxed at all. I just left my 1 year post op apt today with Sono Bello.
I had surgery on my upper and lower abs, hips and inner thighs. I have never felt more embarrassed in my entire life. My stomach is deformed, lumpy and uneven. I look pregnant!!
I was promised I would be happy with my results, instead I look in the mirror and see that I have been taken advantage of. I was told I cannot see the doctor. I was also told the doctor that did my procedure is no longer there. I gained 10 lbs since my procedure even though I diet and exercise regularly and never had a weigh issue before.
The lady at the appointment today blamed me! All the weight that I gained is all in my lower stomach...the “still numb” area they worked on! How is it my fault my stomach is deformed and the rest of my body didn’t change? It took 7 months for the numbing of my lower abdomen to fade...it’s still not fully gone.
I was promised a thigh gap, and a flat stomach! I hate my body now! I was clear on what I wanted!! I was not given that, I was promised I would be happy with my results, I am not!
This is fraud! I paid for a service I did not receive!
I requested my medical records after crying while getting my updated photos taken.
You can’t just leave someone deformed and miserable and then blame them with no other explanation and send them out the door. I will not let this go!

Dr. Morton at Sono Bello performed chin liposuction on me.
The results are a disaster. Eight months after the surgery, there is a thick lumpy ridge across my throat. He plainly botched the job, yet refuses to admit it. I've asked for a refund, and Sono Bello is refusing, saying "We don't guarantee results." During my follow-up appointment, Dr.
Morton insisted there was nothing wrong, then switched tactics and tried to blame his patient for the poor results by saying he couldn't do what he needed to do because I couldn't take the pain (?) Meanwhile, I am going to have to incur more medical costs to have another surgeon fix the problem. The lack of professionalism on Sono Bello's part is truly disturbing.

Sono Bello is trying to make sure they keep my money..... With so many things available to better yourself, I decided to visit Sonobello in Sacramento.
The visit was nice, Naomi the person in charge of sales (she will put it so easy...and convincing, she totally blinded me) I told her my whole situation from; my husband job closing it's doors to my unstable job (but she said no worries "YOU DESERVED THIS") and also not having the kind of money that the surgery will cost ($10.175) so, she also gave examples of what other women have done... charge everything to more than one card.. Usually my husband always walk in with me but this time he decided to stay out...(he is able to recognize a crook when he sees one) and me being naïve and needing to loose weight and so, I went on and said let's do this.... of course she got my card and charge everything, once she saw the card went thru she got paper work ready, I sign all the papers and it was so fast until I came out and my husband ask...
so, what happened? how did it go? Well, I said... I am going to have surgery!!!
and he goes.... "Did you forget that my job it's closing their doors? How about your Asthma? your blood pressure?
Your job? we just got a car...(I've been driving a 99 corolla since 1999) we have so many payments.... OMG!!!!! I started to sweat, my hands got cold.
I was freaking scared.. I called the next day to cancel....CALL THE WHOLE DAY, nobody return my call. I email Mike her office manager, and she finally call back the next day... I kept telling her to cancel everything and she kept saying sure I'll cancel the surgery and you will still have that credit with us....
No, I kept insisting" I can't go thru with this... I can't afford this.. this is not good... the paper work states that I can cancel within 3 days but of course that's why she never returned my call waiting for the 3 days to go by....
I'm still fighting to get my money back... these people are crooks and her last communication was to let me know that my cancellation request was DENIED!!! and that was it... why it was denied, not a letter, not an explanation why....
Do Not Go To Sonobello and make sure you don't have no emergency because the only way to get your money back it's if you do have AIDS, HEP C, AND YOU ARE DYING ... NAOMI TOLD ME THIS...

I spoke with the office manager Melinda. She listened to my issues and did apologize.
While we were on the phone she looked up my before and after pictures and she said " upper abs look great." Didn't comment on my waist and lower abs. I told her I was never really concerned about my upper abs. My SOLE reason for my surgery was lower abs to get rid of my pooch . Ladies if you are over 35 you know what this is.
I told her that the Dr and his minions had told me it would be flat. I voiced this major concern over and over before my surgery. Melinda then said she knows that they never told me I would have a flat stomach. They can't say those things.
It doesn't sound like something they would say. I'm telling you it was said and my husband went to EVERY single appointment and sat in the exam rooms with me. He heard all of these conversations! My husband is very angry.
All he wanted was to see me happy and have self esteem again. He just told me a few days ago that he didn't want want to hurt my feelings but my lower abs look exactly the same. This has been devastating for me. Melinda said we will talk about this further on my 6 month appointment the first week of October.
I'm more than pissed off. I actually want to get media involved.
I opted to have waist, upper and lower abdomen worked on. Early March 2017.
Surgery was performed by Dr. Schatz. He was friendly and prompt. He took out what he said was 2 liters of fat.
I felt great the first night. The next morning i woke up in excruciating pain. This continued for WEEKS. Had to go in to the office multiple times to have a hematoma drained.
The swelling and pain lasted every bit of 2 months. Ive stated from the get go i am not happy with my results. I was informed by multiple employees before my surgery this would be life changing. Oh, it was.
For the bad. Since it took 2 months before i could move, i lost my job as a law enforcement officer. 3 month appointment today July 7 2017. Amber took me into exam room 1 and told me to change into their paper garments.
When she entered the room she wanted to get my weight. I said i DONT want to know my weight. So i turned around on the scale. When she got my weight she said do you want to hear your weight?
Um, no. I just told you that. So she proceeded to take the 4 pictures. After the 4 pictures she said do you have any concerns?
I said im very UNSATISFIED with my results and more fat should have been removed. She said well you still have 20% of fluid. I said more needs to be taken out. She said Im not even going to take this to Dr.
Schatz until its been 6 months. She goes on by saying she has heard everything from the Dr. He may do a revision, he may not, they may take a look at other areas. Whatever, being very upset and angry i set up my 6 month appointment for October 2017.
Then left. On my way home i was talking with my husband (whos been with me in the room EVERY appointment). I got even more angry. NO, YOU WILL NOT LOOK AT OTHER AREAS FOR ANY REASON TILL I GET MY 1ST AREA RESOLVED.
How dare you. I paid you $6,000 cash. Why would i ever let you look at other areas when im unsatisfied with the original area. Lets be honest, you arent going to take fat from my butt and my abdomen will suddenly be flat.
There are no such things as unicorns. As it stands now, i have terrible results and a ton of lost wages from losing my job due to recovery time.

I am waiting for Tom Barr President of Sono Bello to finally resolve this nightmare lipo procedure and refund my $8000.00 to me. This Edina company is very shady.
It starts from the minute you walk through that door for your " free consultation". Believe me,there is nothing "free" about it! For you women thinking you want to have any kind of procedure done by Sono Bello, don't!!
Stay away..they are fake staff,they lie right to your face.All they want is your money. Cassi the money taker,her job is to get you to sign the paperwork as quick as she can and move things along.
This company will have nothing to do with you after,especially if your procedure didn't work as promised by Cassi.
She says anything to get you to just sign. You can see the eagerness in her face.
I will keep you updated on my outcome.

This review is a subjective opinion of a customer whom was ripped off big time by Sono Bello. This company needs to take some responsibility in making consumers aware that these procedures do not work on everybody.
In fact most of the commercials you see on TV, those models have had procedure's done more than one time on a particular area. And why do we only see I think her name is "Gina" on the commercial for the last 3 years!!!!! Because its just a money making business that flat out makes consumers believe that their outcome is going to be successful, about probably 10% actually are. The Edina office will not admit to me that this didn't work.
Dr.Volk told me at almost my year mark from having procedure done to go home and lose some weight.. RUDE!!!! Oh, Cassi," the money taker" flat out lied about my results and to make matters worse she requested a credit increase on my cc without my consent!!!!!! She's sneaky,she dishonest to consumers and all she cares about is moving things along and get you to sign and boom....8000.00!!!!!
I am not sure that Sono Bello is aware that the Minnesota Statue 325D.44 outlines "Deceptive Trade Practices". Subsection 4 deems "deceptive representations"as an act of deceptive trade. That is the case with the commercials. I have plenty more...
I will not give this up until I am fully refunded for going through *** physically during procedure and recovery and mentally having to deal with this, and financially I am disputing my cc for these services..so they will be in contact with Sono Bello. LB

Please let me know how I can either get in touch with someone higher up then the Marketing Director Tiffanie Spencer orthe Practice Manager Patricia Park. I almost lost my life due to a lot of loss of blood, low blood pressure and high heart rate.
I was in ICU for two weeks and my life hasn’t been the same. Doctor Bouzaglou was my surgeon and the nurse had to tell her we need to call the ambulance she is loosing to much blood. The ambulance took me to San Antonio hospital emergency then ICU because they were still trying to stop the bleeding and get my blood pressure up. They had an IV in booth arms then a specialist came in to put a Central Line in my neck so the medicine can get to my body faster.
I thank God, the doctors and myself for fighting for my life. All of the doctors and nurses said they have never seen something like this before. I had nine bags for a blood transfusion. Sonobello wanted me to sign an agreement for getting a refund for only $2,000 when I paid almost $7,000.00 and I refused to agree, my life and the health issues from surgery is worth way more then that.
I am in a walker at the age of 53 and was very active. I have Hematoma which causes high fever and infection, very swollen and lumpy and I can go on. Sonobello informed me it will only be one in cession and I will recover in two hours. I could feel the pain in the middle of surgery.

I asked them if they would pay for that at least and they said NO!
My total came to $27,000….
So the least they could of done was pay for that!
My procedures were done Jan. And Feb.of this year.

I have contacted my bank in which I charged this procedure and they are going to dispute this large amount of money. I am not paying any longer for a company that misleads they're customers and lies right to there face.
I have written to the BBB, i have contacted Attorney General and they recommend I hire Attorney that specializes in Male Practice cases. I do not have the time or the money to be going that route.
Unfortunately I charged a portion on another credit card,but that has already been paid. I am demanding all my money back I charged on this particular card for liposuction which was not successful at all!!!!

Do not go to the Sono Bello in Edina Minnesota. They are only interested in the money.
Their reviews are all negative for a reason.

Hi Bonnie, I had upper & lower abdomen & hip liposuction on June 3rd. 2017.
I paid $1000 down & called two days later to cancel my surgery & consultation with doctor. However. I was told by Stephanie at St. Louis Creve Coeur Center that I would have to pay the entire $8000 regardless of cancellation since it was financed through their company.
So. I felt compelled & reluctantly proceeded with the surgery. I was so drugged out & my surgery was scheduled for 7a on Saturday. But.
I cannot recall going thru the surgery & woke up at home at 9a after feeling blood dripping from my left side. To this day, I don't rember anything & going thru the surgery. I feel like a complete *** now since I don't see any improvement on the surgery areas. But, left with ugly scars on all four sides of my body.
This liposuction was such a complete waste of money & I feel there should be some sort of class action lawsuit against Sono Bella for giving false hope & advertisement to lay people like us. I wish I had read & did further research prior to surgery.
However, I was grieving the loss of my mother & gong through a divorce at the time & something compelled me to do this procedure to make myself feel better, which was huge mistake & am having anxiety/depression as to having to pay this huge bill & regret it. You can contact me at mani21282@***.com.
These people are scam artists. How they sleep at night boggles my mind.

I have had other plastic surgeries from an angel plastic surgeon. I didn't go to my normal surgeon because I didn't want to spend 15,000.
So I went the much cheaper route with SONO BELLO ST. LOUIS and regret every penny.
I wonder if they are like Life Style Lift ? which was a horrible horrible business of dumb doctors and they're reviews were very bad !! and perhaps they just change the name of the business .
